What is ADSL Broadband?
ADSL allows you to access the internet instantly and much faster than normal dialup, plus you will receive many other benefits as well, such as being able to use the phone and the internet at the same time
What are upload speeds?
Upload speeds are the speed at which you will be able to upload to a remote server. All Fast Access are offering a generous 448kbps* Business products offer up to 832kbps
*All fast access will give you the highest possible speed which you can receive.
What is usage or bandwidth?
Usage or bandwidth is the amount of usage that you will receive per a month. For example the more bandwidth or usage you have with your account the more downloads, emails, streaming etc you will be able to carry out.
Can I purchase additional bandwidth?
Yes, details for over use on silver and gold packages we will automatically invoiced at the account at £4 for 5GB. For example if a customer went over by 1GB we would charge £4 and if they went over by 5GB then we would still charge £4.
Will you stop my internet access if I go over my usage?
No, we will simply invoice you for the additional amount used. We will not stop you from accessing the internet at any point.
How can I check my usage?
Please submit a ticket to customer service asking for a usage report
If I am a heavy user can I still sign up to unlimited 8MB broadband?
We can accommodate for any usage, however if you are looking to carry out activities such as Peer to peer (P2P), file sharing during peak hours or gaming then you may be better on our extreme package which will cost an extra £2 per a month. This gives the extra value of not being restricted to certain activities, however this does mean that all heavy users will be placed on to the same network not to interfere with lighter users.
What is classed by heavy usage?

How much does it cost to upgrade or downgrade?
To upgrade to our Platinum Extreme it will cost £9.00 and will take approximately 15 days to carry out the change over. To downgrade this will cost £15.00. To upgrade or downgrade to any other package is free and takes 48 hours. To upgrade or downgrade from any of our other packages are free of charge.
If I am on Platinum package, will I be automatically upgraded to the extreme broadband package if I go over my limit?
No, all customers will be contacted prior to this and will have an option to upgrade
Can I transfer from another ISP?
Yes, any ADSL connection can be migrated over to us, usually free of charge. This is free and simple process which can save you money.

Is there any extra charges after set up fee?
No, every thing is included in the monthly price and installation fee.You will be required to purchase a modem and filters separately.
Do I need an engineer to install broadband?
No, you can set this up easily yourself, should you need any assistance please refer to your modem manual or contact our
support team.
How do contention ratios work?
All of our packages contain a contention ratio of 50:1, this means that the connection at the exchange is shared with another 50 users. This could, show down at peak periods, whereas contention ratios such as 20:1, 5:1 and 1:1 occur less. Please contact
sales should you wish to discuss our ranges of low contention ratio packages
Can I cancel my 6 or 3 month contact ?
Yes, in the unlikely event you wish to cancel your broadband contract with us you will be required to pay £20 for migration or £30 for new installations. Alternatively you may wish to opt for our one month contract
Is ADSL/SDSL Broadband available in all areas at 8mb?
Broadband is available in most areas throughout the UK however the speeds vary. We recommend all customers to check that IPStream broadband is available in their area and check the estimated speeds available to them.
What do I need to be able to connect to ADSL Broadband?
You will need a modem, line filters and a active connection
What forms of payment do you accept?
We except Master Card, Visa Electron, Visa Delta and Visa credit card
How long will it take for my broadband to be setup?
Activation usually takes approximately 15 days. We will contact you immediately should any problems occur with your order.
What is the difference between static IP and dynamic IP?
We offer dynamic IP by standard, which means that every time you connect to the internet this will change. An dynamic IP is no good if you wish to use you computer for gaming or use it to host a website. Should you wish to purchase a Static IP this will cost £2 per a month unless you are on Platinum Extreme in which case this will cost a one off fee of £5
