Have A Question?
What is ADSL Broadband?
ADSL allows you to access the internet instantly and much faster than normal dialup, plus you will receive many other benefits as well, such as being able to use the phone and the internet at the same time
What are upload speeds?
Upload speeds are the speed at which you will be able to upload to a remote server. All Fast Access are offering up to 832kbps on ADSL business products and 2mb on SDSL products
Why should SDSL be chosen over ADSL?
SDSL offers many features compare to ADSL. These are:
→ No disruptions to the phone lines
→ Better stability for virtual private networking (VPN),Voice over internet protocol (VoIP), File transfer protocol (FTP) and other business related activities
→ Same upload and download speed - up to 2MB
→ Similar to leased lines without the cost and hassle
If you would like to learn more regarding SDSL please contact sales on 0845 00 44 363 or email sales@allfastaccess.com
Why should I choose office ADSL over home products?
All of our office ADSL have been optimized with business orientated activities in mind, such as voice over internet protocol (VoIP), file transfer protocol (FTP), Uploading documents and email. Office ADSL offers 832kbps and 20:1 contention ratio which home products do not currently offer.
How do contention ratios work?
All of our business packages contain a contention ratio of 20:1, this means that the connection at the exchange is shared with another 19 other users. This could, slow down at peak periods, whereas contention ratios such as 10:1 on our SDSL packages provide better performance. Please contact
sales should you wish to discuss our ranges of low contention ratio packages

What is the difference between static IP and dynamic IP?
A dynamic IP will change every time you connect to the internet. An dynamic IP is no good if you wish to use you computer for gaming or use it to host a website. Every business account comes with a free static IP. To request an IP please contact your account manager or submit a ticket to customer services
What is usage or bandwidth?
Usage or bandwidth is the amount of usage that you will receive per a month. All our packages are unlimited however not suitable for non office tasks such as Peer to peer (P2P) file sharing or heavy gaming. If you are looking to carry our Peer to peer (P2P) file sharing then we strongly recommend
Office Extreme package
Will you stop my internet access if I do not follow the Fair Use Policy?
No, we will notify you on several occasions regarding your high usage. If you fail to respond and the high usage continues constantly over several months then we will be required to take necessary action.
If I am a heavy user can I still sign up to unlimited 8MB broadband?
We can accommodate for any usage, however if you are looking to carry out activities such as
Peer to peer (P2P), file sharing or gaming then you may be better on our Office Extreme package. This gives the extra value of not being restricted to certain activities, however this does mean that all heavy users will be placed on to the same network not to interfere with lighter users.
What is classed by heavy usage?
Please view fair bandwidth use under our acceptable usage policy which can be
found here. All non extreme account customers will have to adhere to this. If you are unsure if you are an extreme user then please email
sales@allfastaccess.com with full details of your planned activity.
